Curtis Thaxter is seeking a real estate and transactional associate to join the firm. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of relevant experience, be admitted to practice in Maine, and demonstrate strong legal and academic credentials and superior writing skills. Job responsibilities will include drafting documents, counseling clients and working on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development and leasing. A considerable amount of this associate’s time will be devoted to supporting the firm’s affordable housing and community redevelopment practice, a major sector of the firm’s work. A successful associate will be willing to work with attorneys and staff at all levels, have a strong client service ethic, and be able to manage components of transactions, and eventually entire transactions, independently.
